Beautiful Buenos Aires!
Buenos Aires, capital city of Argentina, pop 3 million, (16.5 million in the metro area), home of the Tango, and great place to explore for a few days before and after my Patagonia hiking trip. Before the Patagonia, trip, I explored the city on foot, by bike, and by boat.
The Casa Rosada, once a palace, is now the "government house"
Puenta de la Mujer, a cantilever spar cable-stayed pedestrian bridge which also functions as a swing bridge, Designed by Santiago Calatrava, he describes being inspired by the forms of people dancing the Tango
Took a boat trip to Tigre, a BA suburb, located in the Paraná River delta. The ride passed residential, urban, and more remote areas, showing how people lived in the delta zone

After Patagonia, Linda and I had a wonderful tour of downtown Buenos Aires with Johanna, the owner and main tour guide of the JoyofBuenosAires.com.
La Recoleta Cemetery (Spanish: Cementerio de la Recoleta) is a cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It contains the graves of notable people, including Eva Perón, presidents of Argentina, Nobel Prize winners, the founder of the Argentine Navy, and military commanders such as Julio Argentino Roca. In 2011, the BBC hailed it as one of the world's best cemeteries, and in 2013, CNN listed it among the 10 most beautiful cemeteries in the world. The crypts are works of art, and the cemetery provides a sort of history of the city.
